Embryo Donation

Embryo Donation is the method we prefer to use if the woman does not produce egg or cannot get pregnant with her own egg, and the male's sperm is not in the desired number and quality or does not get produced at all.

Cyprus Embryo Donation Success Rates
Currently, Cyprus embryo donation success rates are an impressive rate of 83% for the 29-39 age range. It is quite striking that even for the age of 40, the success rate is 82%.
Thanks to the confidence provided by these high quality success rates, you can enjoy being on the right track.

If you have had to deal with low success rates elsewhere, you should know that embryo donation is one of the most successful IVF treatment methods.

Embryo donation is a great option for those who want to increase their chances of success. With so many things to consider, it is important to know that your chances of success are as high as possible.

Egg Donor Criteria

As donor criteria, recommendations of infertility associations in Europe and America are taken as basis (ESHRE and ACOG recommendations). Age is an important criteria for donor selection. The recommended age for egg donors is between the ages of 21-35. However, because we work with a focus on ultimate success in our center, we accept the ages of 21-29, which we think will achieve better egg quality. As routine tests, infectious diseases (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV and Spphilis) and Rh with blood types are examined

.
Genetically necessary tests must be performed (chromosome analysis, thalassemia and sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis disease in cases deemed necessary), necessary psychiatric tests, the donor's own health and family history must be examined in detail. Donors should have a normal reproductive system and must have to prove their pregnancy beforehand.

It is ensured that the recipient has the appropriate blood type and physical characteristics with the donor. The physical characteristics of the patients applying are asked and made sure to be similar with the donor. Hair color, eye color and skin color are important determinants. However, the patient can also provide us with the features that is desired while making a donor choice. In our center, the identity information of the recipient and donor is kept confidential. In accordance with the law, the identity information of the recipient and donor is never shared. The strict confidentiality principle is based on this issue.

Cyprus Embryo Donation Process Stages:

  • Embryo donation clinics create embryos artificially for couples who want to have a child with IVF treatment. In the first step of this process, some hormones are given to an egg donor resembling the mother-to-be, and the egg-forming process for the expectant mother is started.
  • After the first stage, eggs that have reached a sufficient maturity are taken from the donor and kept in a petri dish.
  • Eggs are fertilized with the selected donor sperm
  • Development of embryos is followed
  • After the embryo is formed, some embryos are kept while others are transferred to the expectant mother. The remaining good embryos are stored to be used if the first embryos of the IVF application fails.
