Myoma
It is the most common pelvic tumor seen in women and it is benign. It consists of the muscles and ligaments of the uterus. It can be found in 20-25% of women between the ages of 20 and 35. Its incidence increases with age. However, its incidence decreases with menopause. It is very unlikely that it will turn into a malignant tumor.
Although the cause of fibroids is unknown, it is thought to be one of the reasons for excessive release of female hormones. The fact that we see that myomas shrink in menopause shows that this may be due to hormones. It is also suggested that it originates from incomplete cells in the uterine muscle or the vascular wall.
It manifests itself with pain, feeling of pressure and excessive, prolonged or irregular bleeding. It is most easily diagnosed by ultrasound

In its treatment, follow-up, medication or surgical treatment is applied.
